NFL: Super Bowl LIX-Kansas City Chiefs at Philadelphia Eagles

Patrick Mahomes has sent a warning shot to the rest of the NFL as the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback sounds like a man on a mission. Mahomes and the Chiefs will be looking to avenge a loss in the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles.

While appearing on Kay Adams’ radio show this week, Patrick Mahomes — who will be turning 30 years old in September — expressed that he’s ready to get on the field and play football again after spending recent months listening to the NFL world “talk and talk.”

Mahomes also explicitly stated that he’s out for revenge for last year’s Super Bowl loss.

“I’m honestly just ready to play football again. Whenever you lose, you kind of have this taste in your mouth and you want to go out there and revenge that,” Mahomes told Kay Adams earlier this week.

“I feel like I’ve had to sit back and just listen to people talk and talk. Let’s just play football and handle it all out there. I don’t really want to talk about it, I just want to go out and show who we are as the Kansas City Chiefs.”

During that same interview, Adams also suggested that this is the best wide receiver group that Mahomes has ever had as the team boasts pass catches Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, Hollywood Brown, and JuJu Smith-Schuster alongside future Hall of Fam tight end Travis Kelce.

The future Hall of Fame quarterback certainly sounds like a man whose motivated by the Chiefs’ blowout loss in the Super Bowl at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will be opening their 2025 season with a Friday night matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers in Sau Paulo on September 5.
