Taylor Swift has officially taken back what’s rightfully hers.
On May 30, the global pop icon reclaimed the master recordings of her first six albums — a major personal and professional victory that’s been years in the making. And while the moment was already emotional, having Travis Kelce right beside her made it all the more special.
In a report published by PEOPLE on Friday, a source close to the singer revealed just how much the milestone meant to her — and how her relationship with Kelce amplified the joy of it.
“Reclaiming her masters has been emotional and empowering,” the insider shared. “She’s proud, relieved, and finally feels like a chapter has closed in the best possible way. Having Travis by her side for that milestone made it even more special.”
The source also gave a little insight from Kelce’s perspective, saying the Kansas City Chiefs star felt “honored to support her” through it all and “wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.”

Not even a month after getting her masters back, Taylor performed her fan-favorite track “Shake It Off” during the Tight Ends & Friends benefit concert in Nashville — a fitting way to celebrate the return of one of her signature hits.
Stealing the spotlight away made Taylor Swift love Travis Kelce even more
But even in the spotlight, Taylor Swift seemed more than happy to share the stage — or let someone else shine.

According to a separate PEOPLE report from June, Taylor enjoys seeing Travis take the spotlight when they’re out in public.
“She loves letting him shine,” the insider said. “She lights up when she sees him getting attention.”

During the Tight Ends & Friends event, the couple was seen mingling with friends and family of other NFL stars. Among them were Kayla Skule, wife of 49ers offensive tackle Justin Skule, who later posted a sweet snap with Swift on Instagram. Brock Bowers and his girlfriend Cameron were also spotted hanging out with the pair during the concert.
