Taylor Swift’s reclamation of her masters earlier this year was made all the more special thanks to one very important person in her life: Travis Kelce. According to a source who spoke to People, the experience was “emotional and empowering” for the Red singer, and Kelce was there every step of the way.

“She’s proud, relieved, and finally feels like a chapter has closed in the best possible way,” the insider shared. “Having Travis by her side for that milestone made it even more special.”

As for Kelce? Apparently he was “honored to support her” and “wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.”

As a reminder, the drama surrounding Swift’s masters began six years ago when Scooter Braun bought the rights to her first six albums in 2019 via his company, Ithaca Holdings, and later sold them to Shamrock Capital. The “Cruel Summer” broke the news of her long-awaited triumph with a letter published on her website.

“To say this is my greatest dream come true is actually being pretty reserved about it,” she wrote. “All of the music I’ve ever made…now belongs…to me.”

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Kelce wasted no time before celebrating his girlfriend’s big win. He chatted with Shaquille O’Neal about the happy news on an episode of his “New Heights” podcast. In a clip from the episode, O’Neal played Swift’s track “I Knew You Were Trouble” on his phone as the Kelce brothers grinned and danced along. O’Neal then said, “That’s my favorite song in the world, brother.”

Kelce replied, “Shout out to Tay Tay,” adding, “Just got that song back, too. Just bought all her music back so it’s finally hers, man, I appreciate that, dog. Love you big dog.”

Swift and Kelce have otherwise laid low this spring following his loss at the Super Bowl in February. As engagement rumors continue to swirl, the couple is apparently “incredibly happy and in sync,” according to the same People source. “There’s a calmness and ease to their relationship right now that’s been really grounding for Taylor and Travis.”
