Celtics Officially Reveal Horrendous Looking Uniforms

Boston went in an odd direction this year

The Celtics tout their commitment to “tradition” more than any team in professional sports, so the direction they went in with their latest uniform is quite confusing.

Boston is now home to the worst alternate jersey in the NBA.

The C’s officially revealed their latest “City Edition” uniform on Thursday, which looks like something an Esports team would come up with. It’s a horrendous mixture of black and neon, which doesn’t do any favors for a guy like Payton Pritchard — who already looks like he spends a healthy amount of time playing Fortnite.

The uniforms were leaked earlier this season, and the reaction was as negative as you might expect. Nike must not have had time to completely redesign them because that probably would have been the best course of action.

If you’re interested in buying them, you can find individual jerseys here.

Are we being harsh on the Celtics? Yes, probably, but when the roster is damn near perfect, and you’re favored to win a second consecutive title, we have to nitpick.
