The Los Angeles Dodgers provided an update on Max Muncy, saying he left the game with “left knee pain.”
Muncy suffered an injury in the top of the sixth inning after Michael A. Taylor accidentally slid into his knee while trying to steal third base. Muncy’s knee appeared to bend backwards and he went to the ground in immediate pain.
Here’s a video of the play:
The Dodgers will likely run tests on Muncy throughout the night and into tomorrow before proving a more firm update on the All-Star third baseman.
For now, the team will hope the diagnosis isn’t as serious as the injury appeared in the moment.
