Tottenham make a key decision on Heung-min Son’s future, and it is full of respect

Alasdair Gold has revealed what Tottenham Hotspur have decided regarding Heung-min Son’s future as he continues to attract heavy interest from Saudi Pro League clubs.

The Tottenham captain is now down to the final year of his contract at North London and there is no indication at the moment that a new deal is in the offing.

Over the last few weeks, some reports have claimed that Thomas Frank has given the green light for Tottenham to cash in on Son, with the Dane expected to make it clear to the forward that he will have a bit-part role if he stays at the club.

It has been claimed by several sources that Saudi clubs are willing to offer big money for Son, who turns 33 next week.

Tottenham will allow Heung-min Son to decide his future

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has now claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are expected to allow the South Korean star to decide whether he wants to leave or stay.

The club will not push the forward out of the door to ensure they get a fee for him, even though he is in the last year of his contract.

Gold claims that Son is interested in playing in Major League Soccer, while Saudi clubs are continuing to show interest in his services this summer.

The journalist adds that the Tottenham captain will first meet with Frank at Hotspur Way when he returns for pre-season, with the pair expected to have a conversation about his future before a decision is made.

Son may have already made up his mind about his future

It has been reported that at the end of last season, Son left his teammates with the impression that he was leaving the club.

When asked directly about his future a few weeks ago, Son refused to rule out a Tottenham exit this summer.

However, we know for a fact that the South Korean will not leave until August as Spurs are contractually obliged to include Son in their pre-season tour of Asia.
