Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been stepping out more publicly in recent weeks, whether at sporting events or dining out in various cities.

However, Kelce made it clear during an appearance on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast that they’re not seeking the spotlight.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was asked about Swift being off tour and potentially attending more of his games this upcoming season.

He noted that even while on the Eras Tour, she still managed to make it to plenty of Chiefs games. “She tried to get to as many as she could last year,” he said. “She came to a lot so yeah, we’ll have Tay representing over there.”

When the hosts remarked on how often he and Swift are seen out and about, Kelce responded that they’re simply living their lives. “I’m having fun with her, man,” he began. “We’re a couple, dude, you already know. It gets thrown out there—it’s like we’re trying to seek attention every now and then—but it’s like we’re just enjoying life and having fun going to hockey games. I’m kind of introducing her to some more of the sports world that she hasn’t really [experienced yet].”

Kelce’s comments come about a month after a source told Us Weekly that he and Swift were intentionally scaling back their public outings. “They are making fewer public appearances together because [their relationship] brings too much unwanted attention, but there isn’t trouble in paradise,” the insider said.

In a December 2023 interview with Time, Swift explained why she feels more comfortable going out in public, despite the constant attention. “Over the years, I’ve learned I don’t have the time or bandwidth to get pressed about things that don’t matter,” she said. “Yes, if I go out to dinner, there’s going to be a whole chaotic situation outside the restaurant. But I still want to go to dinner with my friends.”

“Life is short,” she continued. “Have adventures. Me locking myself away in my house for a lot of years—I’ll never get that time back. I’m more trusting now than I was six years ago.”
