The NFL is in the last quiet period of the offseason as teams are away before training camp kicks off. The Kansas City Chiefs report for training camp on July 21 as they seek to redeem themselves after falling to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.

The Chiefs are still circled on opponents’ schedules due to their dominance over the last couple of years, but even in the offseason, the city of Kansas City caught a stray from Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown.

During an episode of the St. Brown podcast, the star receiver said, “I’ve been to Kansas City, I was there for the draft. Bro, I’m sorry, if you have money, I’m not living here after I get some money.”

St. Brown was in KC for the 2023 NFL Draft, and it’s clear he didn’t love what he saw. Instead of saying nothing, he wanted to take a shot at them on his podcast.

That’s certainly interesting considering the Lions travel to Arrowhead to play the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6 on Sunday Night Football.

This statement isn’t something that fans will seem to forget, and only adds to the bulletin board material for the Chiefs ahead of the collision.

Jaylin Noel, who is a Kansas City native, was a guest on the podcast. He was selected by the Houston Texans and said it’s a faster city, but Kansas City has its slow and fast parts.

Regardless, this statement by St. Brown adds to the fuel ahead of the best matchups in the 2025 season. Leading up that contest, these comments will resurface and the KC Kingdom will be sure to make sure he hears it with a ring of boos when these teams take the field.
