Kelce shocked his teammate with this stunt at practice this week.
When you’re 9-0 and on top of the heap of all the NFL teams, it’s essential to want to stay focused on the task at hand. It’s also easy to joke around at practice with a teammate who has known you for a while.
It’s a big week for the Kansas City Chiefs. They have a Week 11 matchup against the Buffalo Bills, and if you look at their schedule, this is one of maybe two games people have circled as the game where the defending Super Bowl champs could finally get their first loss of the season.
So, it’s safe to say that emotions are going to be running high this week in both Bills and Chiefs practices, but there will still be moments of great humor.
Case in point: The video that went viral on Wednesday of Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce seemingly dunking on the team’s defensive tackle, Chris Jones.
The video, which took place during the Chiefs practice, when both men wore red and white shorts and their respective jerseys, was posted on the Jason and Travis Kelce-hosted New Heights podcast X/Twitter page.

As we can see in the video, Jones tumbles from the collision. He replies to the video with four words: “He caught me slipping.”

Many reacted in the comments, one user replying on the thread comparing the moment to when Shaquille O’Neal dunked on New York Knicks’ Chris Dudley in a game back when Shaq was playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.

The moment was “posterized,” as the caption of the video states.
Jones would fall to the ground, take a moment when most likely all his teammates (especially Kelce) gasped, and then get up. Jones can’t get injured on a big week like this one. He will definitely be needed to pressure Bills signal caller Josh Allen this Sunday.
This video demonstrates the locker room camaraderie, which has helped the Chiefs this season position to win a third straight Super Bowl. The playful energy might get them to where they need to be on the other side of Sunday’s matchup: 10-0 and in the driver’s seat to a perfect season.
