The Golden State Warriors are coming off an up-and-down season that saw them turn things around at the trade deadline.
Of course, that was due to their acquisition of Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat as their new star trio of him, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green worked out well as they led Golden State to the second round of the playoffs.
Unfortunately for the Warriors, they were eliminated in five games by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round after Curry suffered a hamstring in Game 1.
Now the Warriors enter the offseason with some key decisions to make as they try to upgrade their roster around their aging trio to try and chase a title next season.
Golden State has been linked to many different players thus far but one of their former champions was linked to them on Wednesday.
According to Bovada, the Warriors have the fourth-best odds (+400) of reuniting with Andrew Wiggins in a trade with the Heat this offseason.
Of course, Wiggins spent six seasons in Golden State before he was sent to the Heat at the trade deadline last season in the trade for Butler.
During his time with the Warriors, Wiggins blossomed into a key piece on a championship contending roster and he also helped Golden State win the title in 2022.
Now with the Heat looking to move on from the 30-year-old forward this summer, the Warriors have been brought up in trade rumors for him, though it would be difficult for Golden State to match salaries unless they packaged Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody together in a package.
While the Warriors could do that, they have shown no interest in reuniting with Wiggins this offseason and it is likely they will look elsewhere to upgrade their roster.
