Lakers Are Reportedly Favorites To Land Heat Star If He’s Traded

Could this be the summer that the Miami Heat break apart their roster in a big way?

After missing out on Kevin Durant and losing Jimmy Butler months ago, the Heat have some decisions to make, and they could be tough ones.

Some people believe now is the time for the Heat to part ways with big man Bam Adebayo.

And if he leaves the Heat, the Los Angeles Lakers have the best shot of acquiring him.

According to Bovada, per LakersMuse, LA are favorites to get Adebayo if he is traded.

That is a big “if,” but it could be happening this summer, and the Lakers may finally get the big man they wanted.

The Heat are obviously keeping a close eye on the trade market.

They were already tuned in because of the Durant trade, but they are still seeing what options are before them.

Saying goodbye to Adebayo would be tough because he has been perhaps the most consistent player in Miami for years.

Last season, he averaged 18.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists.

To many, he is the face of the Heat, so Miami would want a lot for him.

The Lakers would have to package together just about every asset they have in order to get Adebayo, but it could be worth it.

Since the departure of Anthony Davis, the Lakers have been aching for a player just like Adebayo.

He could solve a lot of their problems, but it would cost them.

Of course, the Heat might decide to hold onto Adebayo and make other moves.

But if they really feel the time has come to part ways with Adebayo, the Lakers may be the perfect team to do business with.
