Edmonton rallied from a three-goal deficit on Thursday, blew a late lead in regulation and finally defeated the Panthers 5-4 in overtime in Game 4 at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida.
Despite that incredible action, television cameras weren’t focused on the game alone Thursday night after Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce arrived to watch with girlfriend, superstar singer Taylor Swift.
The celebrity couple was in a suite next to one used by members of the city of Sunrise, and the elected officials were just as gaga over Swift and Kelce as others.
Video of Swift meeting with a young fan went viral Thursday night, but it didn’t have audio. Later, the full video was shared and you can hear Swift sweetly talking with a young fan.
And Assistant Deputy Mayor Jacqueline Guzman asked for Kelce, who came down and shook hands with Sunrise officials and Guzman’s 10-year-old son, Jeremiah, who underwent lung surgery earlier this year.

Swift spent approximately four hours moving from room to room-signing autographs, taking selfies, offering hugs, and even FaceTiming families who couldn’t be present.

Dr. Jill Whitehouse, chief of surgery at the hospital, took to Instagram to describe Swift as “one of the kindest human beings I have ever had the privilege of meeting.”
She added, “Thank you Taylor Swift for making dreams come true for all of our patients, families, and staff today!”
Meanwhile, staff and parents watched in awe as Swift warmly greeted every person she met. One mother shared a photo of her son Judah, taken just before receiving a transfusion, describing the moment she skipped her son’s appointment “because look who Judah met at the hospital today before his transfusion.”
