The Cameroon international has been linked with United for several weeks. Despite rumors suggesting a possible reunion with his former manager Thomas Frank at Tottenham Hotspur, Mbeumo is set on a move to Old Trafford. Meanwhile, Paraguayan talent Diego Leon is set to officially become a Manchester United player on July 1, according to VSports Team. The club reached a pre-contract agreement with the teenage left-back during the winter after he passed medical evaluations.

Leon, who recently turned 18, could not be signed in January due to Brexit regulations that prevent Premier League clubs from registering underage foreign players. The pre-agreement ensured United didn’t lose out on the promising defender.

Despite only 33 senior appearances for Club Cerro Porteño, Leon has shown strong potential—averaging over four duels won, 2.7 recoveries, and 2.6 clearances per game.
