Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé is going through a significant slump due to his performances with the club this season, which led to his exclusion from the recent French national team camp.
Mbappé is experiencing a tough psychological state amid the severe criticism he has faced, following Real Madrid’s disappointing results in both La Liga and the Champions League.
German star Toni Kroos, a Real Madrid legend, stated that Kylian Mbappé must learn from his teammate Jude Bellingham if he wants to regain his top form.
Kroos said, in comments reported by “Football Spain”: “Almost always, Bellingham is the one who makes the runs, takes the initiatives, and helps the team play. He is still the player who breaks the lines.”
He continued: “Who is the one who runs, tries, and reaches the finishing line? It’s Bellingham doing Mbappé’s tasks. That can happen from time to time, but it’s not acceptable all the time.”
The Real Madrid legend added: “Does Bellingham enjoy making these runs for the benefit of the team? He does it because he has the desire and determination to do so.”
He further explained: “You have to give Mbappé time, but he needs to learn to play as a No. 9. He must have the desire and determination to do it.”
Kroos concluded by saying: “I think the team is frustrated with him, and that’s something I can understand.”
He finished his thoughts by sending a message to Ancelotti, urging him to use Bellingham’s work ethic and determination as a model for Mbappé to follow. Otherwise, keeping Mbappé on the bench might be the better option for Real Madrid.
