Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is one of the most recognizable athletes on the planet, and with a mega-contract and numerous endorsements, he is certainly not short of money.

Patrick, along with his wife and brother, helped his mother, Randi, in a big way back in March, buying her a new home worth a reported $825,000. That meant Randi had to sell Patrick’s childhood home.

Granted, it is a change for the better in many aspects, but it is one that Randi, in an interview with Realtor.com, called bittersweet.

“It’s bittersweet but it’s time for a change and Mia and I are so excited to have a new place to decorate and make a home and now I have a large space for those grand babies,” Randi said.

So yes, it is a big change, but with Patrick’s family growing with three kids, Sterling, Bronze and Golden, Randi is going to need some serious room to accommodate her grandkids, which by the sounds of it, was one of the keys in finally letting go of Patrick’s childhood home.

Change doesn’t always mean bad, it just means different, and having been in that house for nearly two decades, that sort of move isn’t one that would have been taken lightly.

But now, with the new house, which has a lot more space, Randi and her grandkids can do so many more activities, and we imagine that Patrick and Brittany will be frequent visitors as well.

Times are changing in the Mahomes household, and this one might be the best yet.
