Liverpool Secure Fourth Summer Signing – Milos Kerkez Joins from Bournemouth

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth, marking their fourth signing of the summer following deals for Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz.

After clinching the Premier League title in the 2024/25 season under Arne Slot, the Reds have been actively strengthening their squad. They’ve already brought in Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, and Wirtz is set to follow in what will be a club-record transfer.

Now, Liverpool have finalized a deal with Bournemouth to reinforce the left-back position. The transfer of Hungary international Kerkez has received Romano’s signature “Here we go!” confirmation.

Although personal terms with the 21-year-old defender were agreed back in May, Liverpool prioritized sealing the Frimpong and Wirtz moves first. With those nearly wrapped up, the Kerkez deal has been completed for a reported fee of £40 million.

Kerkez, who had a standout season at Bournemouth—scoring twice and providing five assists across 38 league games—will soon undergo a medical and is expected to sign a long-term contract. He’s likely to become the first-choice left-back, with uncertainty surrounding the futures of Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.

Reports suggest that Robertson is a transfer target for Atletico Madrid, while Tsimikas has been linked with Leeds United in search of more playing time.

Alongside Frimpong, Wirtz, and Kerkez, Liverpool have also added promising Hungarian goalkeeper Armin Pecsi to their ranks.
