Rashee Rice burst onto the NFL scene with a strong debut season in 2023, reeling in 79 catches for 938 yards and seven touchdowns as a solid weapon for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Unfortunately for Rice, his 2024 campaign was cut short by a season-ending knee injury in Week 4. The former second-round draft pick was trending toward another impressive year before this injury, logging 24 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns in his first four games.

Following the Chiefs’ failed attempt at a Super Bowl three-peat, Rice is looking to mount a bounce-back year in 2025.
Rice feels he and the Chiefs’ wide receiver room are ready to “put on a show” this coming season.
“We got a lot of guys. We are deep in depth,” Rice said on Saturday. “Wide receiver group, we’re going to be explosive this year. We’re just excited to put on a show to be honest. We know it’s gonna be a show. Only thing in the way right now is time, so we’re just waiting patiently.”
Rice will headline a Chiefs’ wide receiver room featuring Xavier Worthy, Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Kansas City also added former Utah State wide receiver Jalen Royals with a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
Rice underwent surgery to repair the LCL in his right knee in May. Since then, he’s been rehabbing to prepare for the Chiefs’ 2025 campaign.

“It’s a hard process,” Rice said. “If you love the game enough, it’s nothing that can really take you away or discourage you that you can’t get the job done.”
The Chiefs will kickoff their 2025 regular season with a Week 1 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sep. 5.
