Stephen Curry breaks out his “night-night” celebration after an iconic shot during the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry’s performance for the United States of America in the gold medal basketball game during the 2024 Olympics is not one that basketball fans will soon forget.

In the United States’s 98-87 victory over France on August 10, 2024, Curry tallied 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting from three-point range. He made four of those threes in a row in the closing three minutes of the game including an unbelievable fadeaway shot over two French defenders that sealed the victory for the USA.

After that signature three-pointer, one of the greatest Olympic moments of all-time, Curry hit his signature “night-night” celebration.

To commemorate that unforgettable game and signature moment, trading card and memorabilia company Topps made a trading card as part of their “Topps Now” program that fans could collect to help them remember and pay tribute to that iconic moment.

The card, featuring Curry doing the “night-night” celebration with the caption “clutch shooting locks up gold medal for Team USA”, could be purchased for $11.99. It turned out to be a very popular buy – 89,838 copies of the card were ordered.

A few of those lucky collectors who purchased the card received short-printed parallel or autographed versions signed by Curry himself.

And one lucky collector pulled a one-of-a-kind autographed gold parallel, serial numbered 1/1.

That collector decided to grade the card and sell it at auction. The selling price was absolutely astounding: the auction closed Saturday June 14, 2025 with the card fetching $518,500.

That marked the highest purchase price for a card that was part of the “Topps Now” program ever, far surpassing a Shohei Ohtani card that sold for $225,700.

Was This The Highest Sale For a Curry Card?

This Curry card may have completely shattered the selling price record for “Topps Now”, a very popular card program amongst collectors, but it doesn’t even come close to Curry’s most expensive card ever sold.

Back on July 6, 2021, a one-of-a-kind Stephen Curry rookie autographed memorabilia card privately sold for $5.9 million.

The highest price ever paid for a trading card 💰

Alt, an alternative asset platform, has purchased a majority of this 1/1 2009 Steph Curry Rookie Logoman.

The price? $5.9 million.

The card was from Panini’s National Treasures set. Several of Curry’s national treasures autographed memorabilia cards have sold for over $750,000.

That total marks not only the most expensive Curry card, but the most expensive basketball card sale of all-time. At the time, it was the highest price ever paid for a trading card.

6 figures for the Olympic Topps Now card is definitely insane, but it’s even more insane to think that is only 1/10 of the value of Curry’s most expensive card!

Two of Curry’s Best Cards Still Missing?

Curry already holds the record for the most expensive basketball card sale ever, but he could very feasibly break his own record.

Perhaps Curry’s two most famous cards ever printed – his Topps Chrome superfractor rookie and Topps Now Olympic triple autograph with LeBron James and Kevin Durant – have yet to surface publicly or sell.

Each of those cards could fetch $6 million or more if they are ever found and auctioned.

Chef Curry is one of the most popular players of all time — so popular that some people are willing to back up their fandom with up to 7 figures of cash!

Will we ever see the famous missing Curry cards surface publicly?
