Taylor Swift’s fans couldn’t help but notice the look of “pure joy” on her face as she cheered for boyfriend Travis Kelce during a recent NFL game.
The pop superstar was at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., on Sunday, Nov. 10, to attend her fifth Kansas City Chiefs game of the 2024 NFL season. When Kelce, 35, scored a touchdown for the Chiefs during the first half of Sunday’s game, his girlfriend was filmed applauding and flashing a huge smile as she celebrated his big game-day moment.
In addition to helping his team on their way to victory in Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos, the move also marked the 76th touchdown catch of Kelce’s career, a stat that left him tied with former NFL tight end Tony Gonzalez for “the most touchdown receptions in franchise history,” according to the Chiefs’ communications department. It was the second touchdown Kelce scored this season, with his first occurring during the Chiefs’ game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Oct. 27.
When one Swift fan account on X, formerly Twitter, shared footage online of the “Cruel Summer” songstress’ reaction to Kelce’s major mid-game moment, fans were quick to observe how happy and excited she appeared to be.
“Taylor’s celebration after Travis’ touchdown was pure joy,” on fan tweeted
“Pure joy and team spirit! Taylor knows how to celebrate!” another fan agreed.
“That’s what love and touchdowns look like!” an X user declared.
The power couple had even more reason to celebrate when the game ended with another victory for the Chiefs. The defending Super Bowl champions defeated the Broncos 16-14, narrowly securing the undefeated team’s ninth consecutive win of the 2024 season. The Chiefs will next face off against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y., on Sunday, Nov. 17.
