‘Hardcore’ Chiefs Weapon Travis Kelce Poised For ‘Last Dance’ Minicamp

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is all business as mandatory minicamp approaches.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is all business this offseason as he approaches what might be his final minicamp.

After a down season that saw Kelce post his worst numbers since entering the NFL, a big turnaround is needed for the veteran, and it appears he’s ready to bounce back with authority.

After reportedly slimming down, Kelce is set to attend Chiefs minicamp this week, with ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler stating that Travis has gone “hardcore” to get himself in the best possible shape this offseason.

“He’s expected back for minicamp,” Fowler said on SportsCenter. “He’ll address the media and be on the practice field, all that fun stuff. And he will debut a bit of a slimmer look. He’s told people close to him that he’s lost about 25 pounds this offseason, played a little heavier in 2024, it was sort of a thing he vowed to change it and he has.

“As we talked about before, this could be the last dance for him; mid-30s, still a productive player, they wanna go to him on the third down, but declining a little bit. So he’s trying to be slimmer and he’s gone hardcore this offseason to make it work.”

So Travis is all gas, no brakes, as he looks to make what we think will be his final season, one to remember.

After a poor 2024 and even worse ending, the revenge tour has already begun for the future Hall of Famer as he looks once again to be one of the premier tight ends in football.

He wasn’t that last year, yet he still had over 800 yards. However, that isn’t the Kelce we know, and starting at minicamp, he will be laser-focused on making sure what happened last season doesn’t happen again.

A slimmer Kelce equals Pro Bowl/Super Bowl Kelce? That’s the hope.
