BREAKING: DeAndre Hopkins Makes Excited Social Media Post Right After Chiefs Trade News

Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (10) heads to the field before a game against the Green Bay Packers at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024.

After seeing the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills acquire Davante Adams and Amari Cooper last week, the Kansas City Chiefs upgraded the wide receiver room on Wednesday.

The Chiefs acquired Tennessee Titans star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in exchange for a conditional fourth-round pick. For the Chiefs, it was a move they needed to make after seeing a third wide receiver suffer an injury (JuJu Smith-Schuster, hamstring).

As for Hopkins, the veteran wideout will get to join the NFL’s only undefeated team and compete for a Super Bowl. With everything that Hopkins has accomplished in his career, all he’s missing is a Super Bowl ring.

The 32-year-old receiver is excited about this new opportunity and took to social media to express his feelings. According to Harold Kuntz of FOX4 News Kansas City, Hopkins posted an Instagram video of him backing out of a driveway and the post said “Activated.”

Chiefs News: DeAndre Hopkins Sends Message to Fans After the Trade

Chiefs fans hope that star pass catcher is ready to go after being sparingly used by the Titans this season. In six games with Tennessee, Hopkins had 15 receptions (21 receptions)173 yards, and a touchdown, which isn’t what Titans fans expected after his 2023 season (75 receptions for 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns).

Luckily for Hopkins, he’ll get a fresh start with a team looking to win another title and will try to get him involved quickly. The first chance Chiefs fans will see Hopkins on the field could be Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
