Ronny Mauricio, Jared Young and Jeff McNeil each homered and Clay Holmes tossed six strong innings as the New York Mets beat the Colorado Rockies 8-1 on Saturday night in Denver.

Holmes (7-3) allowed one run on nine hits with no walks and six strikeouts for the Mets, who won for the 11th time in their last 14 games and moved a season-high 17 games above .500.

Ryan McMahon homered for Colorado, which lost its second straight following a three-game winning streak. The Rockies went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position and left eight runners on base.

Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor returned to the starting lineup for the first time since suffering a broken right pinky toe on Wednesday and went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases. Brandon Nimmo added two hits and two RBIs, and Luis Torrens drove in two runs.

Mauricio gave the Mets a 1-0 lead with a leadoff homer in the third inning against German Marquez (2-8). The 456-foot blast was Mauricio’s third career homer and first since being recalled from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.

McMahon tied the game when he began the fourth inning with his seventh home run and first since May 11.

New York regained the lead with two runs in the fifth inning. Young connected on Marquez’s first pitch of the inning for his second homer before Mauricio singled and stole second base.

Maurcio advanced to third on Lindor’s groundout and scored on Nimmo’s single to left field.

The Mets extended their lead to 4-1 in the sixth inning on McNeil’s leadoff homer. The 414-shot was McNeil’s fourth homer this season.

Marquez allowed four runs on eight hits over five-plus innings. He walked three and struck out three.

New York scored three runs in the seventh on Tyrone Taylor’s sacrifice fly and Torrens’ two-run single. The Mets tacked on another run in the eighth on Nimmo’s RBI double.

The Rockies fell to 12-52 after forcing Holmes to work in and out of trouble in the early innings. Colorado opened the bottom of the first with back-to-back singles by Jordan Beck and Thairo Estrada before Holmes retired the next three batters in order.
