Brittany Mahomes Makes Personal Admission After $275 Million News
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, have had a lot to celebrate in 2025 despite not winning the Super Bowl.
Before the NFL Playoffs began, the popular couple welcomed their third child and second daughter, Golden Raye, to the world on January 12. Patrick also helped raise $4.5 million for the Children’s Mercy Hospital at the Kansas City event, Big Slick, in late May.
On Monday, Patrick and Brittany received even more exciting news. The couple, who joined the ownership group of the National Women’s Soccer League’s (NWSL) Kansas City Current in 2022, were highlighted in Forbes’ recent NWSL’s Most Valuable Teams 2025.
With a value of $275 million, the Current are the second-most valuable team in the NWSL, a jump from $182 million in 2024. The team also brought in $36 million in revenue over the last year, the most in the league.

On Thursday, the Mahomes couple attended Game 2 of the Women’s College World Series between the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Patrick’s alma mater, and the LSU Tigers.
During the game, Patrick and Brittany joined ESPN’s Holly Rowe for an interview. When asked about the Current’s new valuation, Brittany admitted it is a “dream come true.”
“I think it’s been just incredibly fulfilling,” Brittany Mahomes said. “As an athlete myself, I know a bunch of passion and talent and grit that exists in women’s sports. Just being in that position to spotlight this and show how amazing women’s sports is has been a dream come true for me.”
Despite making his way to Oklahoma City for the game, Patrick has still been in attendance at the Chiefs’ OTAs in Kansas City, preparing for his ninth NFL season. He has already become one of the best quarterbacks the league has seen, making it to five Super Bowls and winning three.
Now, Patrick gets to add more to his resume.
