Arsenal are interested in recruiting the services of Motor Lublin centre-back Bright Ede despite just six appearances to his name in the Ekstraklasa, according to Polish outlet Meczyki.

The 18-year-old, who stands at 6ft 4in, is new to the Polish top-flight after spending time in the youth league, but the Gunners have been impressed and blown away with his performances after scouting him.

Quality left-footed central defenders are rare to come across in the game nowadays, which is why the Arsenal target has been the subject of serious interest from several top Premier League clubs for many weeks now.

The interest in Ede is huge, with his physique, passing and ability to play out comfortably from the back catching the attention of the Gunners.

The North London club want to strengthen their first-team this summer following another disappointing campaign, and while it is unknown if the Lublin starlet will be joining their senior team if signed in the coming weeks, his huge potential and talent make him a perfect signing for the future.

Arsenal are not the only club from England monitoring his situation, and landing him for a decent fee will be a smart acquisition given his current value.

Ede has what it takes to become a top defender going forward, and the Gunners need to act quickly this summer before other bigwigs snap him up.

They missed out on Real Madrid-bound Dean Huijsen despite their willingness to activate his £50 million release, but they could have snapped him up for a quarter of that as Bournemouth paid Juventus just £13m to sign the 20-year-old centre-back last summer.

However, the Cherries were the only Premier League team seriously interested in the Spaniard at the time, and Arsenal cannot afford to miss out on another talented defender whose value could skyrocket in a few years from now.
