Warriors Had Words for Jimmy Butler on Sunday

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Julius Randle operates with the ball as Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler defends during their playoff game at Target Center on May 14, 2025.

So much has gone down since Jimmy Butler‘s drama-filled departure from the Miami Heat. It’s as if his controversial exit from South Beach wasn’t just almost four months ago.

Since then, Butler was able to play an integral role for the Golden State Warriors, who had to give up Andrew Wiggins, among others, and a couple of future draft picks in exchange for the six-time All-Star.

Butler repaid the Warriors by pretty much transforming the squad upon his mid-season arrival. The five-time All-NBA forward was also a crucial piece for Golden State’s playoff run, which, unfortunately, came to an end at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round.

On Sunday, the Warriors took to social media to send a message on Butler. It was a simple post with a simple caption, but the team was able to show its appreciation to the 35-year-old vet after his memorable first (half) season in Golden State.

The Warriors shared a set of photos containing some of Butler’s most memorable moments this past season. Golden State is hoping for much more of this in the coming years, with Butler under contract with the team through 2027.

The Warriors invested a lot in Butler, and while he was able to show them some return this past season, there’s no denying that Golden State will want to see more from him in 2025-26.

The Warriors will be looking to bounce back next season, and Butler will be an integral part of their plans.
