A sweet interaction between Taylor Swift’s separated parents at a recent Kansas City Chiefs game has completely captured the internet.

Reports that the pop sensation’s mom, Andrea Swift, and dad, Scott Swift, had ended their relationship after 25 years of marriage first arose in 2012, but the former couple has done their best to keep the details of their split out of the spotlight.

But it’s clear that they have remained close, as the exes were caught on camera sharing in a sweet moment while they attended a sporting event with their daughter on Sunday.

In a now-viral image, Andrea, 66, and Scott, 72, were seen leaning their heads against one another as he placed his arm lovingly around her back.

The photo was taken at the Chiefs’ recent match against the Denver Broncos; they joined their daughter, 34, as she cheered on her boyfriend, Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce.

A snap of Andrea and Scott’s heartwarming exchange was shared to X, formerly Twitter, afterwards, and it left many of Taylor’s fans amazed at how strong their relationship still is despite going their separate ways over a decade ago.

‘Oh my God,’ a Swiftie named Sarah captioned the shot, which has since been viewed more than 1.8 million times.

‘Honestly, they’re the blueprint for “still a team, just not a couple,”‘ one person replied. ‘Love how they show up for each other.’

‘Too cute,’ another added, while someone else gushed, ‘You would never know they were divorced. I love mama and papa Swift.’

‘This is the kind of happiness that parents feel when they see their daughter so happy and know she found a good man who loves and takes care of her,’ a fourth tweet read.

A fourth said, ‘It’s so cool to see them being close even after divorce.’

‘I love them. As a child of divorced parents who are actually best friends, having your parents have a relationship like this is so wonderful,’ praised a different user.

‘Remarry… It’s not too late,’ another jokingly suggested.

‘This is kind of better content than [Taylor and Travis],’ someone else wrote.

Back in 2012, RadarOnline reported that Andrea and Scott had split ‘a while back’ but hadn’t filed for divorce because they didn’t want it to ‘damage Taylor’s career.’

The publication added that it had caused a lot of ‘pain’ for Taylor, with a source telling them, ‘She’s been going through a lot.’

The insider claimed that the singer’s grueling tour schedule had negatively impacted her parents’ romance.

‘Andrea being on tour with Taylor full-time has really been hard on her relationship with Scott,’ they said.

Even so, Andrea – who has since battled cancer twice – and Scott have been seen together supporting Taylor at various concerts and events numerous times over the years.

It’s been said that their split inspired some of the lyrics in her 2010 track Mine.

In it, she sings, ‘You made a rebel of a careless man’s careful daughter,’ and later, ‘You say we’ll never make my parents’ mistakes.’
