Dwyane Wade Offerѕ Candіd Take on LeBron Jameѕ’ Heat Predіctіon

Miami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade (3) and small forward LeBron James (6).

Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade appeared on Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take, hosted by Big Cat and PFT Commenter. One of the biggest sports media podcasts out there had the pleasure of sitting down with Wade.

Much of the podcast covers his time with the Heat, and specifically discussing LeBron James and Wade’s dynamic duo.

When James first joined the Heat, they went viral for something he said when asked about how many championships they would win together.

“Not one, not two, not three, not four, not five…” said James as he said the Heat could win seven championships.

Wade candidly said on Pardon My Take that James was “tripping” when saying they were going to win that many championships.

The dynamic duo ended up winning just two championships in 2012 and 2013 with the trio of James, Wade, and Chris Bosh. They also appeared in the 2011 and 2014 NBA Finals, falling just short of an NBA championship.

The statement James made when he joined the team took the league by storm, and was one of the most talked about events, as the potential of the Heat was through the roof heading into the 2010 NBA season.

They were still one of, if not the best team in the league at the time, with the San Antonio Spurs being one of the only teams standing in their way.

Wade proceeded to stand by his former teammate in James by saying they thought internally that they were the best and that they would ‘run the table’ while still acknowledging how difficult the NBA was.

The 2010-14 Miami Heat created a wave of NBA super teams following afterwards. The Oklahoma City Thunder had their own with Kevin DurantJames Harden, and Russell Westbrook while the Golden State Warriors had Stephen CurryKlay Thompson and Draymond Green.
