The Golden State Warriors could shore up their frontcourt, provided they are ready to win now.
Despite what he might want, Draymond Green is not a long-term solution for the Golden State Warriors at the cente rpositiion. He has been fantastic at times and is a key part of their title hopes in the next coming seasons, although he is at his best wthout a defined role.
In an effort to add some extra rebounding and scoring down low, the Warriors are expected to add a win-now player this summer. Brook Lopez has been floated as a possible free agent target, although the Warriors could add a younger player.
Nikola Vucevic is a two-time All-Star who hasn’t really found the same success with the Chicago Bulls that he had with the Orlando Magic.
Of course, the Bulls are not built to win now, and anyone would benefit from playing next to Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler.
Vucevic averaged 18.5 points and 10.1 rebounds this season while being able to space the floor.
A lineup of Curry, Butler, Green, Vucevic, and Brandin Podziemski would be hard to beat on either end of the floor, and the Warriors could likely part with youngsters Moses Moody or Jonathan Kuminga to make room for Vucevic.
