Kelly Clarkson denied shading Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s burning hot romance after saying that their relationship is “literally taking over the NFL.”
“I did not bash anyone’s romance. I am pro romance. Yay romance 👏,” the “American Idol” winner wrote on Instagram Saturday.
“Did y’all even watch what I actually said on my show? I just said I want to watch football when I tune in to watch football. Seems an appropriate request. 💁♀️”
The “Because of You” singer’s post comes just one day after she made headlines for expressing her qualms on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
“It’s not hilarious how it is literally taking over the NFL for people that like watching sports now,” Clarkson, 41, said on her morning talk show.
“It’s like you’re watching ‘Housewives’ while you’re watching.”

Clarkson went on to joke that the broadcasters have even shifted to talking about “gossip” instead of the game itself in between plays.
“And you’re like, ‘So, what about the play?’” she said, jokingly adding that Swift and Kelce are “taking over” the sport.
The “Stronger” songstress isn’t the only one noticing the spike in Swiftie coverage from the NFL.

The football league’s SVP of Social, Influencer & Content Marketing, Ian Trombetta, told CBS News earlier this month that Swift’s presence on the sidelines has made for an unprecedented uptick in viewership — and the sports giant is happy to ride the wave.
“It’s been honestly unlike anything we’ve seen from a regular season perspective in the sense that we have celebrities and influencers and big creators that are at games every single week,” he said. “And while it drives interest and discussion online, this was something we’ve never seen before.”
“Another thing that’s been a little surprising is that it really hasn’t slowed down. It’s continued to build in this momentum of conversation.”

The “Cruel Summer” songstress, 33, and the Kansas City Chiefs star, 34, have dominated headlines since seemingly confirming their romance at Kelce’s Sept. 24 home game at Arrowhead Stadium.
Swift was seen side by side with Kelce’s mom, Donna, as the two cheered on the tight end.
Since then, the 12-time Grammy winner and the athlete have slowly started to come out of hiding to broadcast their relationship.

Last week, Kelce and Swift were spotted packing on some PDA during a late-night date in New York City.
They were also seen holding hands last weekend following their sushi date at Nobu in Manhattan.
According to an insider, the “Lavender Haze” singer is reportedly already falling for her athletic beau.
“Taylor is blown away right now and her family is all about Travis,” a source told the Daily Mail Thursday. “She is trying to keep it together, but is obviously falling in love with him and he feels the same way.”
