Kansas City Chiefs’ 2025 NFL Schedule: Primetime matchups, biggest games, broadcast info, and more. 🔗⬇️

Nov 24, 2024; Charlotte, North Carolina, USA; Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (87) and quarterback Patrick Mahomes (15) lead their team onto the field against the Carolina Panthers during the first quarter at Bank of America Stadium.

The 2025 NFL schedule release has finally arrived, marking the Kansas City Chiefs‘ pathway to Super Bowl LX.

The good guys fell short of a three-peat in a matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, but this team’s window is as wide open as ever before. After a ninth consecutive AFC West title, the Chiefs must overcome a tough first-place schedule that features several playoff teams, international travel, short rest, and some harsh playing environments.

Biggest Games on the Chiefs’ 2025 Schedule

Chiefs @ Bills: Every time these two teams play, it’s an instant classic. This year should be extra intriguing after Buffalo has continued to fall short against Kansas City in the playoffs.

Chiefs vs. Commanders: The Commanders were a game away from being the Chiefs’ opponent in Super Bowl LIX. Jayden Daniels vs. Patrick Mahomes with Dan Quinn and Steve Spagnuolo coaching the defenses is the type of matchup dreams are made of.

Chiefs vs. Texans: Houston completely revamped their offensive line this past season and added a boatload of offensive firepower for QB CJ Stroud. It felt very intentional after they scored just 14 points vs. K.C. in the playoffs.

Primetime Games and Streaming Service Broadcasts

Which games will be primetime viewing?

You know that Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are the most sought-after teams by broadcast networks for primetime and exclusive streaming games. Dating back to the 2020 NFL season, the Chiefs have been on primetime 26 times, the most in the NFL during that span. Which games apply during the 2025 NFL season?

  • Week 1: @ Chargers (Brazil)
  • Week 3: @ Giants (SNF)
  • Week 5: @ Jaguars (MNF)
  • Week 6 vs. Lions (SNF)
  • Week 8 vs. Commanders (MNF)
  • Week 14 vs. Texans (SNF)
  • Week 17 vs. Broncos (Christmas Night)
  • Which games will you need streaming services to watch?

Love it or hate it, the future of the NFL is on streaming services and platforms. Each year, broadcasters battle it out for exclusive rights to stream various games throughout the year. Last season was a Netflix game on Christmas Day for Kansas City; the year prior, the Chiefs had a playoff game exclusively streamed on NBC Universal’s Peacock streaming platform. Which games does that apply to this season?

  • Week 1: @ Chargers in Brazil – YouTube
  • Week 17: vs. Broncos on Christmas Day – Prime Video

What stadiums will the Chiefs play in 2025?

Outside of plenty of home games at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, here’s where the Chiefs will play in 2025.

  • Week 1: Arena Corinthians – São Paulo, Brazil
  • Week 3: Met Life Stadium – East Rutherford, New Jersey
  • Week 5: EverBank Stadium – Jacksonville, Florida
  • Week 9: Highmark Stadium – Orchard Park, New York
  • Week 11: Empower Field at Mile High – Denver, Colorado
  • Week 13: AT&T Stadium – Arlington, Texas
  • Week 16: Nissan Stadium – Nashville, Tennessee
  • Week 18: Allegiant Stadium – Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Strength of Schedule (based on Vegas win totals, not the 2024 record)

Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis ranks teams’ strength of schedule based on Juice (Vegas’ projected win totals for the upcoming season). This year, Sharp has the Chiefs’ SOS at the 27th, which means they’ve actually got the sixth-toughest schedule in the NFL this season. That said, they’re still projected to win 11.5 games this year.

  • Revenge Games on the Chiefs’ 2025 schedule

    • Chiefs vs. Eagles: The Super Bowl LIX rematch. If there’s a game that you know the Chiefs will get up for and play their best, it’s this one.
    • Chiefs @ Titans: Tennessee GM Mike Borgonzi gets a shot at his former team? Cam Ward is often compared to Patrick Mahomes. This one feels like it could get a little personal.
    • Chiefs vs. Bills: Buffalo continues to fall short against Kansas City in the playoffs, so naturally, the Bills will put on a show.
    • 5 Must-watch Matchups

      • Xavier Worthy vs. Travis HunterThe No. 2 overall pick vs. the NFL’s fastest man? This one has a chance to be an all-timer.
      • Patrick Mahomes vs. Abdul CarterThe No. 3 overall pick is nicknamed Darth Vader, so he’s obviously going to be hunting down a Jedi like Patrick Mahomes. Expect an epic battle between these two.
      • Josh Simmons vs. Maxx Crosby: I have no idea when Simmons will be ready to play, but I’ll be curious to see him face off with a salty veteran known for getting to Mahomes, such as Crosby.
      • Nick Bolton vs. RJ Harvey: A speedy, elusive, and explosive back for Sean Payton’s offense? Bolton will look to lay the boom.
      • Travis Kelce vs. Kerby Joseph: The Lions’ defender graded out as the top safety in the league last season and had nine interceptions.
