Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, are widely considered the most popular brothers in the history of the NFL.
Their immense reach was brought about by all the success they’ve achieved on the football field, which they have both been able to leverage via mainstream media to make their respective brands even more widespread.
Travis and Jason Kelce host a highly successful podcast entitled “New Heights.” Both brothers have also ventured into the world of television hosting, while Travis Kelce, in particular, has tried his hand at acting.
Travis and Jason Kelce’s status has also given rise to the popularity of their mother, Donna Kelce, who is probably the most well-known NFL mom today.
This is exactly why the league had to send a special message dedicated to the matriarch of the Kelce household on Mother’s Day.
“Nothing like a hug from Mom after the biggest game of your life 🥹 ❤️” the NFL posted on Instagram.
The league shared a couple of videos from Super Bowl 57 when Travis Kelce and the Chiefs defeated Jason Kelce’s Philadelphia Eagles, 38-35. Donna Kelce attended the big game at State Farm Stadium to cheer on both her boys, even wearing a 50-50 Eagles-Chiefs jacket for the event.
Donna Kelce shared emotional moments with both her sons shortly after the final whistle. While Travis Kelce was elated with what was his second Super Bowl win, Donna Kelce had to console Jason Kelce after the heartbreaking loss.
Fans on social media could not help but feel sad over the NFL’s post.
“Not me crying AGAIN at these videos 😭” a comment on Instagram read.
“This gets me every time 😭🥹” said another.
“When trav says ‘mama’ im sobbing 😭🥹” a user reacted.
“Yall finna hate on bro when all he doing is hugging his mom now? 😭” a post read.
“Crying on a Sunday 🥹” admitted a fan.
“Makes me 😭 every time,” another said.
This has to be one of the most bittersweet moments in Donna Kelce’s life. She was extremely happy for Travis Kelce’s success, but she also shared the heartbreak of Jason Kelce after he failed to achieve his goal of winning another championship ring.
Fans were all in their feelings after reading the NFL’s message and rewatching what could very well be one of the most emotional mother-and-son on-field moments in the history of the Super Bowl.
