The Houston Rockets sent their series with the Golden State Warriors to a Game 7 on Friday night with a 115-107 win that saw the veteran guard-center duo of Fred VanVleet and Steven Adams lead the way for coach Ime Udoka’s team.
Adams feasted on the small-ball Warriors to the tune of 17 points, five rebounds and three blocked shots while VanVleet once again showed his championship mettle with 29 points, eight rebounds and eight assists on the evening.
After the game, VanVleet pulled a new nickname out of his hat to share with the NBA world as he gave Adams his props for a job well done.
“Man he’s the ultimate, man, he’s just an enforcer down there, like a big caveman in this era of small basketball, old big just roughing everybody up, man he’s impacting us on another level, historical level honestly,” Fred VanVleet said about Adams.
The former Raptors NBA champion added that Adams needs some rest, hydration and a big steak in time for Game 7.
"We gotta get him some rest … get him hydrated [and] get him a big steak."

“We gotta do it again,” VanVleet added.
The Rockets and Warriors will decide their first round series with in Game 7 in Houston on Sunday night; tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m. ET.
