The Golden State Warriors and Stephen Curry are set to head on the road for a winner-take-all Game 7 matchup against the Houston Rockets. Whoever wins the series will move on and whoever loses will go home.
After going up 3-1 in the series in Game 4, the Warriors appeared ready to advance. Despite the commanding lead, the Rockets had other plans.
On Friday night, Golden State lost Game 6 by a final score of 115-107. Curry did all he could to power his team to a win, scoring 29 points on 9-for-23 shooting. Jimmy Butler played a great game as well with 27 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists.
Those two individual performances were not enough to overcome Houston.
Looking ahead to Game 7 on Sunday night, Curry spoke out. He sent a blunt message, crediting the Rockets for clawing their way back into the series.
“They’re playing great. You gotta give them credit. We’re not just rolling over and not competing,” Curry said.

Houston saw Fred VanVleet continue his hot streak in Game 6. He scored 29 points on 7-for-13 shooting, including making six of his nine 3-point attempts. Alperen Sengun had a dominant game as well with 21 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, and three steals.
Blowing a 3-1 series lead would be a brutal way for the Warriors to end their season. They will need another masterful performance from Curry to lead them to a win.
Game 7 is scheduled to tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET on Sunday night and will be aired on TNT, truTV, and Max.
