The Golden State Warriors are a battle-tested NBA franchise. Having won four of the last 10 NBA championships, the Warriors are historically built for deep playoff runs.

Despite their playoff experience, they’re on the verge of blowing a 3-1 series lead against the Houston Rockets. The Warriors lost to the Rockets 131-116 in Game 5 on Wednesday. And then lost 115-107 in Game 6 on Friday.

This series is now headed for a winner-take-all Game 7, on Sunday, in Houston. While this current Warriors roster has new faces since their first championship of this dynasty (2014-15), Draymond Green and Stephen Curry remain.

Green, who has never been afraid to speak his mind and assign blame when he deems it necessary, was back at it again during Friday night’s postgame press conference.

Green was asked what they’ll need to do to be victorious in Game 7. Green was quick to provide an answer, calling out his Warriors teammates in the process.

“The reality is the person who wants the ball more will get it and right now it seems as if they want it more,” Green said.

Green feels one of the biggest components to the Rockets winning two straight games in this series is effort. Green recounted multiple occasions when the Rockets scored second-chance points off rebounds and loose balls.

He points a finger at his teammates, claiming a lack of effort is the root cause of this problem.

“We’re getting a first effort, but in order to beat this team, you’ve got to make second or third efforts, and the last two games we have not done that,” Green said.

In Game 6, the Warriors committed 16 turnovers to the Rockets 11. And the Rockets came away with 12 steals to the Warriors six. The Rockets also won the rebounding battle 46 to 42.

Game 7 will tip-off at 8:30 p.m. EDT on TNT on Sunday inside the Toyota Center in Houston. The winner of this series will face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Semifinals.
