Last offseason, many of the NFL headlines involving the Kansas City Chiefs centered around the relationship between Travis Kelce, their 10-time Pro Bowl tight end, and 14-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift.
Fans will recall that the summer of 2024 saw Kelce jetting around the world as he followed Swift on her Eras Tour. These appearances abroad kept the couple in the spotlight despite the slow pace of the Chiefs offseason.
This year, though, is a different story. Swift’s Eras Tour concluded at the end of the year and, as always, Kansas City players are going through their offseason routines to prepare for the upcoming NFL season.
Without an international tour to occupy their time, Kelce and Swift have decided to spend some time out of the public eye. This, of course, has led to some interesting breakup rumors.
Many Fans Think Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Have Broken Up

Instead of spending a great deal of time together in public, Kelce and Swift have been making sparse public appearances apart from each other. While there were reports that they were laying low together in New York for a while, whenever one of them is seen in public, it is noticeably without the other.
As people tend to do, fans began to create narratives in their heads to explain the situation.
When Kelce unfollowed actor Ryan Reynolds, whose wife (Blake Lively) is friends with Swift, on social media, many took that to be a sure sign that the power couple was going to break up, or had already done so.
However, that is not the case.
Kansas City Chiefs Star Travis Kelce Is Still Going Strong with Taylor Swift

According to a report by Page Six, the perceived signs that there is trouble in paradise are not what they seem. In fact, Kelce and Swift are as strong as ever, per their sources.
“Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are still going strong despite socializing with different friend groups recently.
“’They’re still so in love and enjoying spending time with their friends and each other during the offseason,” a source tells Page Six exclusively. ‘There’s no trouble at all.’”
This makes sense considering, as mentioned, there is no international tour to keep them in the spotlight this year. Kelce has also apparently decided to focus more on preparing for the 2025 NFL season after flirting with retirement leading up to the Super Bowl, which the Chiefs loss.
Perhaps the quieter offseason for their star tight end will lead to better production once the season begins. Kansas City, of course, is looking to get back to the Super Bowl following their defeat in Super Bowl LIX to the Philadelphia Eagles.
