The Golden State Warriors will be looking to close out their opening-round series against the Houston Rockets on Thursday night. Game 5 shifts back to Houston with the Warriors up 3-1 and just one win away from booking their spot in the Western Conference Semifinals.
Golden State has already submitted its official injury report for Thursday’s pivotal matchup, and it is worth noting that two of their most important players have been listed on the same.
Steph Curry, who is still dealing with a lingering thumb injury that he sustained on April 11 against the Portland Trail Blazers, has been added to the injury report. The good news, however, is that he has been listed as available to play.
Curry has been playing through the thumb issue over the past couple of weeks, and it does not look like it has bothered him at all. The same should be the case on Thursday in Houston.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr revealed after the game, however, that Butler would “probably miss another week or two” with this injury had it not been the postseason.
Be that as it may, Butler is now on track to play in Game 5 after he was officially listed as probable in the injury report. The 6-foot-7 forward was initially listed as questionable for Game 4, but he still ended up playing, which bodes well for his chances of being available for Game 5.
A Warriors win on Thursday will see them advance to the second round, where they will face the winner of the series between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Wolves are currently up 3-1 in that series, and they, too, could potentially close it out in Game 5 on Thursday.
