The Los Angeles Dodgers escaped a brutal loss Monday night thanks to the heroics of Tommy Edman, who hit a walk-off, two-run single in the 10th inning to take the first game of the series.
On Tuesday night, the Dodgers will face right-handed pitcher Sandy Alcantara, the 2022 National League Cy Young award winner who’s off to a slow start this year as he makes his way back from Tommy John surgery.
The Dodgers are deploying a bullpen game with Blake Snell (and now Tyler Glasnow) on the injured list.
Left-handed pitcher Jack Dreyer is starting the bullpen game, and the Dodgers brought up a pitcher from Triple-A to add some length. Here’s the lineup that will be behind Dreyer and the rest of the Dodgers bullpen:
Shohei Ohtani, DH
Mookie Betts, SS
Freddie Freeman, 1B
Teoscar Hernandez, RF
Will Smith, C
Max Muncy, 3B
Tommy Edman, 2B
Andy Pages, CF
Michael Conforto, LF
