The Los Angeles Dodgers obviously have a strong desire to repeat as World Series champs, but it sure doesn’t feel like it will come easy.
Not only is the rest of the NL West seemingly out for blood in 2025, but the injury bug has been causing a fair bit of havoc on their roster, with Dodgers starter Tyler Glasnow possibly its next victim.
Glasnow’s history of staying on the mound is already sketchy and he was pulled early from a start just a week ago with what was later described as leg cramps.
In the moment, it felt like the Dodgers had dodged a bullet, as the injury wasn’t expected to keep Glasnow out for very long at all.
Unfortunately, something different is still very clearly not right with Glasnow even after a short start his last time out, as he was pulled after one inning from his start against the Pirates on Sunday.
And he’s coming out. Tyler Glasnow is exiting after one inning. Something to watch — for the second straight Glasnow start. @ByJackHarris @latimessports https://t.co/tAeIogqWzQ

Tyler Glasnow pulled early from yet another start as Dodgers fans’ worries grow
We don’t know exactly what is bothering Glasnow, although the Dodgers broadcast was speculating that it could be his shoulder acting up based on how he was acting during his warmup pitches.
Glasnow certainly did seem like he was trying to stretch his shoulder out in between warmup pitches, and manager Dave Roberts may have noticed that, in addition to Glasnow not exactly missing bats in the first inning.
Whatever the case may be, the Dodgers may be without Glasnow for a while, especially if it is his shoulder. Even assuming a world where his scans come back clean, the team will almost certainly shut him down for a couple weeks to lets things calm down.
The team did confirm a short time later that it was right shoulder discomfort that forced him out of the game.
Tyler Glasnow left the game with right shoulder discomfort.

For a team that is already down Blake Snell and a bunch of other arms, losing Glasnow for any appreciable amount of time is really bad news.
Every team has to deal with adversity and injuries, but it is only the end of April and it feels like LA is already on their back foot.
