CONFIRMS: Full details of L’Jarius Sneed trade have officially been finalized

Indianapolis Colts v Tennessee Titans

Last offseason saw the Tennessee Titans try to bolster their secondary in a massive way, as the team traded for L’Jarius Sneed, who had played a huge part in helping the Kansas City Chiefs win back-to-back Super Bowls.

It felt like a home-run addition for the Titans, as they needed help in their secondary and Sneed was lights out during his time in Kansas City.

Unfortunately, it hasn’t looked to be a good trade on Tennessee’s end so far. The Chiefs franchise tagged Sneed but couldn’t get a long-term deal done with him and sent him to Nashville instead where he only played five games in the 2024 season. Not ideal.

Now that the Chiefs’ third-round pick has been made, we officially know the full details of the Sneed trade with Kansas City.

The Titans landed Sneed and then swapped seventh-round picks with the Chiefs in last year’s draft. That pick for the Titans ended up being Michigan EDGE rusher Jaylen Harrell, who appeared in all 17 games and had 17 tackles. He played in 44% of special teams snaps during his rookie year.

Chiefs received:

Pick 66 in 2025 NFL Draft

Pick 221 in 2024 NFL Draft

The Chiefs used the 66th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on Louisville defensive end Ashton Gillotte and that was the final pick of this Sneed deal.

We don’t know what kind of player Gillotte will be yet so it’ll still take a few years to see if this pick ends up being a thorn in the Titans’ side.

The Chiefs and Titans swapped seventh-rounders last year and the Chiefs ended up flipping the 221st pick to the Bills. The Chiefs used that pick to move up in the first round last year to land Xavier Worthy 28th overall.

The Dallas Cowboys have vowed to be active ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline and fans have begun drawing up their hypothetical deals they want to see happen. The biggest need is on the defensive end, where Matt Eberflus’s unit has failed to keep up with the tremendous success Klayton Adams has had in his first year as offensive coordinator.
