BREAKING: Miami Heat Intrigued With Three NBA All-Stars: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anthony Edwards, And De’Aaron Fox

The Miami Heat are always in the business of improving and even now, they have their sights set on several high-profile All-Stars. According to NBA insider Brett Siegel, the Miami Heat wishlist includes standouts like Anthony Edwards, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and De’Aaron Fox.

“Going after the best of the best is always the name of the game for the Heat, which is why nobody should be surprised to see Anthony Edwards, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and De’Aaron Fox be some of the names that this organization is intrigued by,” wrote Sigel.

As one of the highest market teams in the NBA, the Miami Heat are always in the business of attracting the game’s biggest stars. They lured Shaquille O’Neal, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and, most recently, Jimmy Butler.

Going into his season, however, the need for change looks stronger than ever as the Heat struggle to keep up with the NBA elite. They are 3-4 so far, 7th in the East, and appear to be a whole level below some of the top teams in the Conference.

Fortunately, the franchise isn’t too far off from making a full recovery. Thanks to the presence of Pat Riley, a vibrant, winning culture, and an excitable fanbase, the Heat are one of the best in the NBA at recruiting high-level talent and it’s only a matter of time before they do it again.

In the case of Giannis Antetokounmpo, he may be the best high-profile superstar in play for the Heat. Since winning the championship in 2021, the Bucks have been in a steep decline and the trade for Damian Lillard last summer only further destabilized the situation.

Now, there are rumblings that Giannis is looking for a way out and the Heat could be his perfect destination. In that environment, under arguably the best coach in the NBA, Giannis would absolutely thrive and his presence could easily lift them back into a state of contention in the East. In 7 games this season, Antetokounmpo is averaging 31.0 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game on 61.7% shooting.

Anthony Edwards is arguably the most valuable player of the bunch but he’s also the least attainable for the Heat. At 23 years old, Edwards has already become one of the best players in the league but he’s on a long-term deal with the Timberwolves that neither side seems ready to break. His shooting and athleticism would make a welcome addition to the Heat’s veteran roster but it remains to be seen if they have enough assets to make a compelling offer.

Kings guard De’Aaron Fox is certainly overlooked by a lot of fans but the Heat see him for his true worth. With an average of 23.8 points per game this season, he’s someone who could make a major impact in Miami’s backcourt and a perfect pairing with veteran big man Bam Adebayo.

Of course, it remains to be seen what happens with Jimmy Butler but it’s no secret that the Heat are considering cutting ties with the veteran swingman. At this stage of their timeline, the Heat know that it’s time for a major roster shift and it seems like the front office is already considering a number of different pursuits.
