Brittany Mahomes posted a Christian quote about disagreement to social media Friday as the US Presidential election looms.
Brittany, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, sparked a liberal meltdown in August when she was caught liking a post about Republican candidate Donald Trump.
The soon-to-be-mother-of-three’s political social media spree triggered further controversy amid her friendship with popstar Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
The 14-time Grammy Award winner faced a blistering attack from Trump after she publicly endorsed his opponent Kamala Harris.
Despite many fearing their opposing political stances could cause bad blood between the WAGs besties, Taylor and Brittany have put on a united front, enjoying a day out at the US Open and New York City double dates with their footballing beaus.
As the Race for the White House enters its final stretch, Brittany shared a cryptic message to her Instagram story.
‘Jesus didn’t have to agree with people to be kind to them,’ the former soccer player’s post read.
While it is not clear exactly what Brittany was discussing, given the political backlash of the past couple of months, she could have been hinting at her opposing to views to Taylor and her fanbase.
In August, eagle-eyed users caught the soon-to-be mother of three liking a Trump post mapping out 16 of his policies to his 26.3million followers; ranging from topics on immigration to the economy.
The like has generated plenty of outrage among liberals on social media, and at the time Brittany appeared to hit out at her critics in a fiery clap back.
‘I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood,’ she wrote on her Instagram Story.
‘There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.’
Following the presidential debate on September 10, Taylor revealed in a lengthy Instagram post that she would be voting for Kamala in November.
She did not attack or call out Trump personally but she signed her backing of Harris with: ‘Childless Cat Lady.’
It is a reference to Trump’s running mate Sen. J.D. Vance, who said in a 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson that the U.S. is being run by Democrats, corporate oligarchs and ‘a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too.’
Taylor also encouraged her millions of followers to do their research on the election and register to vote with a link she shared of vote.gov on her Instagram story sharing her grid post.
Fans feared that Brittany’s apparent endorsement of Trump’s policies could lead to an awkward tension with fellow Chiefs WAG Taylor, who has publicly expressed disdain for Trump in the past.
However, after Trump hit back in predictably blistering style on his Truth Social platform, claiming ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT’, Brittany ‘questioned’ if she will continue to endorse his campaign.
‘She is questioning her support for Donald Trump after he lashed out at Taylor, saying he hates her,’ a source exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com.
‘This deeply bothered Brittany because Taylor is like a sister to her and she has done absolutely nothing wrong.
‘She didn’t mention Trump in her post and is allowed to speak her mind.’
The source added that Trump’s decision to react in such a hateful manner upset Brittany.
‘She does not believe in hate in any form and loves Taylor so much,’ the insider continued. ‘This shook her to the core.’
They added: ‘This doesn’t mean she is suddenly voting Kamala. It has just made her more aware of supporting him so publicly.’
