The Boston Celtics hosted the Brooklyn Nets with the hopes of getting back in the win column after dropping a game to the Golden State Warriors this past Wednesday (Nov. 6) night, and found a cohesive, hard-playing Nets squad that punched them squarely in the mouth in the game’s early going, jumping out to a 14-point lead. Both teams struggled to connect from deep for much of the game, with both clubs shooting under 30% from 3.

It was a surprisingly high-energy tilt, as Boston had trouble keeping up with Brooklyn on the glass, losing the rebounding battle 51-39. Yet the Celtics managed to grind out a 108-104 win in overtime thanks to the heroics of Jayson Tatum (33 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists), with big games from Jrue Holiday (17 points, 5 assists) and Payton Pritchard (20 points) helping keep Boston afloat.

Solid outings from Derrick White (14 points, 6 assists) and Al Horford (13 points, 10 boards) also helped the Celtics secure the win despite poor ball movement and player energy for much of the contest.

Boston next plays on Sunday, Nov. 10 against the Milwaukee Bucks. Let’s take a look at some of the best images from the game while we wait for the next contest to arrive.
