Coby White Pinpoints Why The Bulls Crumbled To The Heat

All was well for the Chicago Bulls entering their NBA Play-In Tournament game against the Miami Heat. Coach Billy Donovan knew that he had the personnel to shut down any type of scheme launched against his squad. However, things do not usually go well for squads that go up against Coach Erik Spoelstra and Co. at this time of the year.

See, the Bulls had swept the season series against the Heat. In three games, they have not allowed a single one of Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo, and even Jimmy Butler to pop off back then. How did the tides change in favor of Coach Erik Spoelstra’s squad? Well, it was all due to veteran acumen and playoff experience.

Coby White could not help but point out that disparity after they got decimated 109-90, via Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald.

“We thought since we beat them in the regular season, we thought if we would do what we normally do, we would be good. But they got guys that have been to the Finals, got guys who know what it takes, got one of the best head coaches in the league. They came out as the more physical team, the more disciplined team. They don’t call fouls like they normally do,” the Bulls guard said.

True enough, the Heat suffocated their NBA Play-In Tournament opponents in nearly every category. There was not a single statistic that Coach Spoelstra’s squad allowed the Bulls to thrive. From their 49.4% field goal percentage to Chicago’s 39.8% all the way to the rebounding battle where the Heat ate the glass with 45 rebounds to the Bulls’ 38, it was a demolition job.
