Tyler Herro played terrific basketball for his Miami Heat on Wednesday, helping them beat the Chicago Bulls in the Play-In Tournament.

But anyone paying attention to Herro lately knows he’s been in the zone.

As noted by StatMuse, Herro has averaged 28.3 points and 5.0 assists over the last 10 games with a stat line of 58/48/93%.

That brought his season average to 23.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.5 assists on 47.2 percent from the field.

Herro is performing well, right when the Heat needs him to shine.

They are one step closer to reaching the playoffs, and they will require Herro to show up like this every single night.

Their first step is to take on the Atlanta Hawks this Friday.

If they are able to overpower them, they will earn the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, setting them up for a showdown against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Beating the Cavaliers is a tall order, but Herro posting nearly 30 points per night could make it possible.

A lot of people didn’t think the Heat would even get this far.

The team was already struggling this season, and then they lost Jimmy Butler after weeks of drama and endless speculation.

Since then, they have started to find their footing.

They’re not where they want to be yet, but they are looking better than some people expected, and the performances from Herro give fans something to believe in.

On Friday night, he will attempt to add to this remarkable average.

If he does, the Heat could be going to the playoffs, but if he doesn’t, the season might be over.
