As is so often the case, Taylor Swift is once again dominating several United Kingdom-based album rankings.
Half a dozen of her collections appear on this week’s Official Albums chart, and that’s just one of the tallies where her music is heard.
While some of her sets are slipping, others are holding strong, or even climbing. It’s a mixed bag for Swift this time around, but when looking across the board, two titles clearly stand out.
The Tortured Poets Department Leads Taylor Swift’s Charge
Of all Swift’s titles currently performing well across the pond, The Tortured Poets Department is the clear winner. The title appears on four different rankings in the U.K., and it’s on the rise across every one of them.
This frame, the lengthy project climbs to No. 24 on both the Official Albums and Official Albums Streaming charts — quite the coincidental alignment.
The Tortured Poets Department also improves its standing on the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums rankings at the same time. It’s not shocking that TTPD is Swift’s highest-rising win at the moment, but that it’s growing in every respect is notable, since it is now a year old.
1989 (Taylor’s Version) Also Climbs on the Charts
1989 (Taylor’s Version) is enjoying a similar bump in performance, even if it’s not quite matching Swift’s newer release in terms of placement.
The re-recorded effort doesn’t sit nearly as high as The Tortured Poets Department, which makes sense given that it’s not brand new — and that it’s a fresh take on a set that was already a global smash nearly a decade ago.
The album is moving up on the same four tallies as The Tortured Poets Department, though by smaller gains.
On the Official Albums Streaming chart, it jumps five spaces to No. 62. It’s not far behind that on the main Official Albums ranking, where it improves to No. 65.
The rest of Swift’s albums on the U.K. charts this week are performing a bit more erratically. Folklore sees one of the more interesting shifts, as it rises on one tally while falling on another.
The Grammy-winning set also returns to a pair of rosters it had previously dropped off of not long ago.
Meanwhile, Lover, Reputation, and Midnights are all experiencing some version of an up-and-down.
The sets gain and fall, depending on the tally, but streaming appears to be largely keeping these titles afloat, while sales and more general consumption may be down.
