Luka Doncic is changing up his look for the postseason and Los Angeles Lakers fans can’t get enough.
Photos from the Lakers practice on Tuesday emerged showing Doncic rocking a headband – something he has done on occasion during his career but not so far during his Lakers’ tenure.
With the headband, Doncic matched with his Lakers co-star Austin Reaves, who has been sporting a headband during his career season.
“Luka & AR (handshake) headband twins,” the Lakers’ official account wrote on X.
It’s a small change, but one that fans were excited to see it. “Headband Luka is going to feed families,” one fan said. Another commented, “Headband Luka unlocked. League is in shambles.”
“Headband Luka” has taken on a life of its own, with the five-time All-Star turning in some memorable performances while rocking the look during his time with the Dallas Mavericks.
Maybe his most notable performance came in 2023 during a rout of the Utah Jazz. Doncic posted 40 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds.
He did the majority of his damage in the first half of that contest, with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

“I say it’s me.” The Lakers face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs, with Game 1 slated for Saturday.
