Coachella kicked off this weekend, and the Swifties were definitely hoping to spot Taylor Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce in the crowd.

In 2024, the couple made a surprise appearance joined by some friends, including rapper Ice Spice.

However, it seems like this year the famous pair decided to take it easy and stay out of the spotlight.

A source speaking to Page Six earlier this month said that Swift and Kelce are enjoying an ‘escape’ as they both take a well-deserved break.

Swift wrapped up her epic Eras Tour in December and Kelce finished the NFL season in February when his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, lost the Super Bowl.

‘A lot of their time is spent at home just relaxing,’ said the insider. ‘Despite their fame, they’re really just like any other couple.’

They are reportedly enjoying being out of the limelight.

‘This is such a nice escape for them to finally be able to stay out of the limelight for a bit before they eventually have to get out in the public eye again due to their careers,’ the source added. ‘This time away from the spotlight has been so refreshing for Taylor and Travis. They really cherish this time while they can because they know it can’t last forever.’

The couple has been able to find ‘normalcy for the first time in a long time.’

Last year, Kelce did share a bit about their first Coachella weekend on an episode of New Heights.

Discussing how they watched from the pit, Kelce said that he and Swift ‘like to see it front from the fans’ perspective, like the people that actually like — because I am [one]…I’m a fan of the music.

I’m a fan of live shows. I want to see it from the front of the stage.

Yeah, we probably could’ve finessed it that way [watching backstage], but I think it’s just that much more of an experience if you’re in the pit, man.

If you’re in the madness with all the fans. It was awesome though.’
