The NFL will continue its annual tradition of connecting the game’s all-time greats with the next generation of stars entering the league through the NFL draft. When Day 2 of the 2025 NFL draft arrives on Friday, April 25, 32 NFL Legends and players from the 2000 NFL draft will announce selections to commemorate the class’s 25th anniversary.
In 2023, the Chiefs had the father-son offensive line duo of Ed Budde and Brad Budde announce a draft pick. Last year, K.C. had former Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles announce the selection of BYU’s Kingsley Suamataia.
So, who will announce Kansas City’s picks at the 2025 NFL draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin? The honor goes to Chiefs Hall of Fame wide receiver and return specialist Dante Hall, aka X-Factor and The Human Joystick
Chiefs franchise legend Dante Hall could announce a draft pick from his alma mater draft picks
A former fifth-round pick out of Texas A&M in the 2000 NFL draft, Hall played with the Chiefs for seven of his nine seasons in the league. He was known as one of the league’s most electric return specialists, earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors, as well as a spot on the league’s 2000s All-Decade Team. He recorded over 12,300 combined kick and punt return yards and a dozen return touchdowns during his NFL career
It is possible that Hall could announce a pick for Kansas City that hails from his alma mater, the Texas A&M Aggies, on Day 2. It’s unlikely to be a receiver or return specialist, though. The Chiefs sent D-Line coach Joe Cullen to put some Aggies players through drills at their pro day, including Nic Scourton (A to Z Sports expected draft range of 19-61) and Shemar Turner (A to Z Sports expected draft range of 61-136).
