With head coach, Steve Kerr at the helm, the Golden State Warriors continue their quest toward the NBA playoffs. Since the acquisition of Jimmy Butler in early February, the Warriors have been one of the best teams in the league.
Since Butler joined the Warriors, they own the third best record in the NBA at 22-6. During this stretch, Stephen Curry has also put forth some of the best shooting performances of his career, including two games when he made 12 3-pointers.
Curry, generally recognized as the greatest shooter of all-time, doesn’t often find himself wide open. When he does, the ball usually finds a way into his hands, and then into the basket.
During the Warriors blowout victory over the Phoenix Suns 133-95 on Tuesday night, there was a moment when Curry found himself wide open, however, Buddy Hield did not find Curry.
Kerr took the game’s next timeout as an opportunity to re-introduce Curry to Hield, reminding Hield who the “greatest shooter in the world” is.

“Buddy, Steph Curry. Steph, Buddy Hield. I want you guys to meet each other. Say hello to Steph, he’s the greatest shooter in history of the world, and he’s wide open,” Kerr jokingly said.
During a segment of TNT’s “Audio Assist”, Kerr can be seen hilariously “re-introducing” Hield to Curry after Hield failed to hit a wide-open-Curry with a pass. Kerr made sure to remind Hield he was joking, and affectionately let Hield know how he feels about his shooting guard at the end of the clip.
“I love you, Buddy. I love you,” Kerr said.
Kerr, who has never been afraid to speak his mind, has found himself creating multiple viral moments throughout his 11-year coaching-career. Kerr’s press conferences and “mic’d up” moments typically make for appointment television.
Kerr and the Warriors find themselves in the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference. They currently own the same exact record as the Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, and Memphis Grizzlies (47-32) with only three games to play in the regular season.
The way the Western Conference playoff race is shaping up, the end of this year’s regular season will be appointment television as well.
