For the past couple of months, we have heard about Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce potentially getting ready to propose to Taylor Swift.

Having been dating for over two years, the pair have gone from strength to strength with the only rough patch being after the Super Bowl, as Kelce played poorly and Swift was booed.

This led to the couple taking a step back from the public spotlight, to which now they are beginning to slowly step back out.

US Weekly reported that Kelce perhaps got “caught up” in his newfound fame with Swift, as the couple was featured in every magazine, newspaper, and online publication, but it was getting too much. And now, a source spoke to US Weekly about those proposal rumors.

“As for a proposal, a source told Us in February that Kelce and Swift are ‘on the same page about taking the next step,’ US Weekly wrote. ‘But for now, they’re enjoying the quiet ‘without the outside noise, they can focus on each other.”

So, based on that, it doesn’t seem like a proposal is coming down the pipeline anytime soon. … with the suggestion that their busy lives has caused a happy delay.

Both Travis and Taylor appear content to just be with each other as they wind down from a hectic 2024. Their year, after having started dating over a year-and-a-half ago, has included her blockbuster “Eras Tour” and his attempt to win an unprecedented third straight Super Bowls.

Kelce seemingly thought about retiring but is going to come back for his 13th (and likely final) NFL season … to continue a spotlight life that included Swift being booed by Eagles fans at the game, a Chiefs’ 40-22 loss on Feb. 9.
